That box, between the short horizontal lines, shows the content of your account's 'Description' information. And, happily, the 'Description' can contain HTML. So, if I understand the question correctly, you don't need to tweak the theme's HTML at all.
You can make the change you want by simply adding the image to your account's 'Description'. To do that, go to the Customize page and open the 'Info' tab. In that tab, edit the 'Description' section and add a reference to your desired image before the existing "'allo 'allo ..." text.
The image reference will look like this: img src="url-of-image">
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
