Under what situations would you consider taking an oath of celibacy?

If I were a pedophile. It is becoming increasingly prevalent, in science as well as in society, that pedophilia is a sort of "condition" brought upon naturally (like homosexuality). There are many self-declared pedophiles who have taken oaths of celibacy.
