Unexpected results with select and recvfrom?

Select() modifies the passed fd_set - You have to set it up before each call to select() . This is just how select() should work.

It's necessary because select() may modify the file descriptor sets.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
