Using CSS/javascript : how would I create a static background image that always fits to screen resolution/browser size?

I am working on a project and would like to have the background image to always appear the same. I want absolutely no whitespace outside of the image and will confine everything on the page image size space. I need some code that will scale to fit the brower window horizontally and scroll additional space vertically.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
