1 Windows recognizes . Zip files natively, so there should be no problem as long as the association hasn't gotten fouled by installing something such as 7Zip, WinRAR, or something else that has gone hinky. What is the error that you see when you try to double-click on the file?
Is it saying "File not found" or giving some sort of "You do not have access rights to this file" error or what? Any other information about this situation that you can provide would be extremely helpful.

4 Just for the edification of future readers, I worked with Shel from remote (as I am in the US and she is currently located in the UK) and found that the problem with her backup software was that it was incompatible with the 64-bit version of Windows 7 running on the new laptop. Once again, the fact of incompatibility with 64-bit operating systems (which has been a common problem since Windows XP Professional x64) has reared its ugly head. The problem comes about from the fact that software (including device drivers) are not designed for 64-bit environments but, rather, 32-bit environments such as has been the common standard for over a decade now (since the introduction of Windows 95).64-bit versions of Windows have been around for five years and still the industry has not advanced software to use 64-bit programming design, which is no big surprise since the largest install base in the computer world is 32-bit architecture and software designed for 64-bit architecture would not function in a 32-bit environment.
Further, it has not been until recently (within the past couple of years) that 32-bit architecture has started to impose its addressing limitations on the computing public, most notably in the amount of RAM and the size of hard drives that can be addressed. Because of the limitations now being hit, the industry will be forced to start making 64-bit applications but it will still be awhile yet (I'd estimate another two or three years) before they start becoming commonplace and 32-bit becoming antiquated. Until that time, to make computers be more compatible and functional, it is most advisable to specify that you want a 32-bit version of whichever Windows operating system you choose: Windows XP Professional (Windows Home is only 32-bit), Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
If the seller or manufacturer of the computer will not permit a 32-bit version, save yourself headaches, move on, and find another who will install it for you. Not to toot my own horn but at my company (Best Deal Computers, which can be found online at www.bdcusa.com) we can install any version of Windows you prefer, 32-bit or 64-bit, and continue to have Windows XP available for those who want to have the most stability, reliability, and compatibility with all the hardware and software available.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
