Living in the Baltimore region, I have known of Dr. Carson since long before "Gifted Hands" was released. My wife worked at Johns Hopkins for several years and had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Carson several times. She has never had anything but the highest praise for the man.
Having said that, I would have never thought about the man as a politician until this week. The speech he gave at the National Day of Prayer was brilliant; at least I think it was. To say what he did standing six feet away from the President took a great deal of moral fortitude.
He made some references in his speech that I feel alluded to him running for office. He spoke to the fact that five doctors signed the Constitution. He also mentioned that we need more intellectuals in public office, not career politicians.
I think there is a lot of truth in what he said. I also think he will be getting a lot of pressure to run for office. As to whether or not he has true intentions to run or not, I do not know.
But to answer your question, I think he would be a better candidate than any we have seen in recent elections.
Dr, Ben Carson may be a fine man, however, just like Obama, he has no experience for the job. Obama was a community organizer and a 1 term senator who never showed up for work! Dr. Ben is a DOCTOR and has no experience!
He needs to stay in the OR!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
