Visiting Bangkok - Best Sites To See?

So far the guidebooks have pretty much covered all that there is to see in Bangkok. But there might be plenty of off the beaten path sites to be discovered now that Bangkok's train systems are expanding further across the Chao Praya River. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
