Volcanic eruptions can cool the world's climate. Therefore, when Global Warming urges it, how would man artificially induce a new volcanic eruption?

All stupid and irelevant answers aside, theoretically it is possible to induce a volcanic eruption. However it is not feasable to do so because of the limitations of current technology. Naturally, nuclear weapons would be necessary to produce a chain reaction, but you would need more energy that man could possibly produce.

Furthermore, the placement of the explosive devices is important. If you were to drill close to a magma chamber under extreme temperatures and pressures you would have to worry about a blowback or premature eruption (no pun intended). But, the idea is that you could detonate your nuclear devices close to a magma chamber rather than almost into it, in order to cause an earthquake with the hope that it would cause an increase in magma chamber pressure, thus inducing an eruption.

You must also take into account the type of eruption you are looking for, and the magnitude. There are three main types of volcanic eruptions: pyroclastic, cratering, and magmatic/non-violent. ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
