I am really trying to understand the question here and provide an answer, but I'm having a tough time. I have looked up the term "change agent" and haven't found anything that is more recent than the early 1980s with most of the references from the 1970's. If you are referring to that change agent then I don't think it was used in any public institution curriculum in the U.S. I can't speak for outside of the U.S. though.
Therefore, I'm not quite sure what abuses you are referring to. If someone actually believes in these change agents (which if I gathered the information correctly seems to be some type of subversion of individualism to collectivism through the school system), then I'm sure the teachers sleep well at night because believers in a cause often do not have problems justifying the work that they do. If you can post some additional information, this question might be able to be answered better.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
