There are 5 books in the Lord of the Rings series The Hobbit The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers The Return of the King The Silmarillion - published after Tolkens death this is a book of the lord of the rings universe.
When J.R.R. Tolkien wrote The Lord Of the Rings, it was as a sequel to The Hobbit, which was a much shorter work and intended more as a children's' book. The work was originally written as one volume, between 1937 and 1949 spanning World War 2. When Tolkien approached his publishers with the work it was decided, for economic reasons, to split it into three parts. It was finally published in this format over 1954-55.
The three volumes were entitled, The Fellowship of The Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of The King. Today it is possible to buy the books in either format, the edition that I own myself which is a hardback copy, is the entire work, in one volume, it is shown inside as the three separate titles.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
