Water gushes out of the sink drain pipe when I take it off,What can I do about that?So,I can try to get it drain?

Ok. Let me rephrase the drain pipe is not attached to sink..Water gushes up my ceiling pipes out the sink drain on floor...Bucket won't catch old backed up water...Guessing yesterday after wash cloth went down sink. Bathtub must be connected.

And three bath tubs of water..Are in my pipes,Maybe more maybe less..I don't know what to do about the wash cloth or water coming from floor. I don't have money for a snake or plumber. And cant call landlord and tell him about the acidentall wash cloth.

If you have a toilet plunger, one thing you can try is closing all the drains you can close, and then work the plunger in the toilet, or in the bathtub, or on the floor drain. That may shake the water enough to have the washcloth come loose. If not, then it will need a plumber's snake to clear it.

I live on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a apartment building. And the landlord will not help with repairs often,Because he lives out of state and also,I am afraid to tell him about the accident because he told me when I moved in he threw out some women that lived next door,Because they was flushing wipes and tampons down the toliet. Now I know I didn't do this on purpose.

But when I was wipeing down my stove one day with febreeze cleaner and a sponge,A piece of white paint chipped off of the top of it. And when he came to pick up rent he accused me of messing up his brand new stove on purpose. And told me that he just doesn't understand how me cleaning my stove would cause the color to come off of it like that.

So,I am in a rut. And cant afford to be thrown out. Being due with a bb in july and having a 5 yr old.

Okay. It sounds like the sink and bathtub share a drain pipe, and the washcloth has become jammed somewhere close to them. That pipe then joins the drains for the toilet and the downstairs bathrooms later on.

You would be closing the drain in the sink or bathtub just like you would to fill it up with water; and then use the plunger in the other. Hopefully this will shake things enough to make the washcloth come loose. Start out kind of gentle, and then get more vigorous as long as you are not causing too much splashing (to avoid mess) .

Thanks only problem there is,bathtub drain is clogged right now..And sink only closes up by a plastic cheap stoper. So,I guess I will try plungeing sink since bathtub won't unplug,and theres no use to close it up if it is closed because of water right? Idk I have no brains for this stuff.

And sink doesn't have to good of a close on the stopper since it is so cheap. Before this wash cloth thing,Water would drain slowy out my tub even when lever was pulled up. Ecen after I tightend the lever it still drained out slowly when taking bath.

Let me get this straight. You take off the pipe from the drain, and then you are surprised that the water gushes? Isn't that to be expected?

Yes the water is coming up the ceiling thru the drain pipes,sink pipe is not connected to floor drain pipe. Wash cloth was accidently in sink drain yesterday. And thinking today tub is connected to sink.So,that means that three old school claw tub full of water is in pipes,maybe more maybe less.

I was simply going to try to see if I saw rag,and water wouldnt stop gushing upwards...I don't have money for a snake for wash cloth and cant call landlord because,He will swear I did it on purpose,Asif I need the extra pronblems at 8 months pregnant with a five year old and no man to help me fix things... I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
