You get exposed to water in other times than swimming. Rain, sweat, and tears will all take their toll on a non-waterproof mascara. Sweat can especially be a problem in the summer.
I know of no particular research indicating that waterproof mascaras are any worse for you than regular ones. They're all chock-full of chemicals. At core, they're all waxes and pigments.
The waterproof ones just have more water-repelling waxes. The main downside that I'm aware of is that they're harder to get off. More elbow grease, and more makeup remover (while plain old washing may take off regular mascaras).
As for color... you just have to experiment. Different brands will have different shades: "black" and "black black" will look different in different brands. It helps to have several different ones, to match the particular look you want that day.
If you do have mascara in your everyday street-makeup, you'll want to look around until you find just your shade.
Waterproof mascara is not harmful to you. It is difficult to get off however. Even after washing your face, you will have to use eye makeup remover to get the rest off.
I love it though, it never smudges and is great for every day wear. It's a godsend in the summer when I'm always in the water or sweating, but it's good in all seasons too.
I think that the only bad thing about waterproof mascara is it's a pain to get off.
I suggest waterproof mascara for effect and it doesn't smear like the others. You may achieve the same effect using brown/black mascara or purple. The latter goes on looking dark but has a warmer effect.
The only downside? It takes a really good mascara remover to take the darn stuff off at night. Ironic, when applying it, you want it to stay put and then have to take special care in taking it off.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
