We are moving to a new city. Can anyone give me a comparison between CVS pharmacy and Walgreen Pharmacy services? We have used a small locally owned pharmacy for several years but now we are moving to a smallish town where we will have to travel ~10-15 miles to any pharmacy.

Our choices seem to be between Walgreen's and CVS. We would appreciate any suggestions on choosing one over the other, given the fact that we both taken prescription meds every month. THANKS!

1 CVS is notorious for charging significantly more than other pharmacies for prescriptions. There was a local report in our area that showed prescriptions at CVS cost more than 20% more than the next highest priced pharmacy. Mind you, that's in our area, so I can't speak to the national averages.

2 Not much difference at all. CVS wants you to use their card for specials, (so they can keep track of what you buy) Wallgreens is best for me, I do not like cards. And their specials are great especially the inhouse ones.

Their merchandise turns quickly. I think you will enjoy them. Unfortunately I can spend a fast 100.00 if I am not careful.

You might try calling and asking for their prices--we did that for our cat's insulin, and found the cheapest to be our little local pharmacy rather than any of the chains.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
