First I would approach... ...HEB. Although founded in Kerrville, it is today headquartered in San Antonio and often wants to help its local community. They say on the corporate web site:"H-E-B favors activities over providing funding for physical plant investment, projects and causes that make a visible and positive difference.

H-E-B may contribute either product or cash, depending on the need. "AND"For more than 100 years, our commitment and involvement in the community has been recognized as an important part of the way we do business. It's our way of saying thank you for allowing us to be your neighbor.

Each day we strive to earn, build and maintain a positive relationship of trust, creating a tradition of caring that has come to be known as H-E-B's Spirit of Giving. In this spirit, the company has contributed five percent of its pre-tax earnings to public and charitable programs since the 1930s, and remains one of the few companies in the nation to give at such a level. To apply for support with the H-E-B's Community Investment Program, please go to heb.com/aboutHEB/HH-communityGrant.jsp"-... might also talk to Target if HEB says no (HEB doesn't always share nicely), as they have a corporate policy of charity in the communities where they are located.

WalMart also often looks for opportunities to look good. Also, you might contact the US Marines. Their Toys for Tots program is an enormous benefit for kids just like the ones in your orphanage.

If you have any connections to Lackland AFB, you could get your orphanage adopted as a project by one of the groups active on base. Interestingly enough, our local Harley shop in our town helps organize a toy run with local bikers, where the price of participation is a new toy. 2 I have contacted them all. They all give the same response, "we give to numerous charities already, sorry we can't help you. " But thanks for your thoughts.
