I agree. Right now U. S is in a huge debt to China and many other countries and we continue to help other countries.
That is the problem with U. S we like to get involved in things so badly that we cause ourselves in the future. Seriously... It's a freaking earthquake that happened in Haiti and America takes it like it is part of America. No... If there was an earthquake in San Francisco (common) we deal with it between Americans.. That is the right thing to do we have too much problems and I disagree with anyone who thinks helping is caring or all that crap because right now America is going through one of the worst times in history and we don't need to waste money on a country that we aren't associated with.
Everyone has their pet projects. Perhaps you could go rant about people giving to the ASPCA or something. As for me, some friends just got back from Haiti on a surgical mission.
They were repairing poorly healed fractures, non-healing fractures, and bone infections from crush injuries. They worked in an open OR next to the patient floors that had pancaked and the bodies had not been recovered yet. They brought back a picture they took looking into a collapsed patient room with an IV still on a pole and the tubing running under the rubble.
I might suggest we say screw you and any disaster that might befall you or anyone you know and love. But I'm a polite and decent person with compassion.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
