I know, I know...it's been going on since the place started. With so many people from so many walks of life there are bound to be differences. Some are insensitive, some are too sensitive.It's just the way Askville and the rest of the world is!

In a perfect world, we would all get along. Not going to happen here! If you take away religion and politics, it will be something else.

Nope, no bans. I believe in free speech, no one should live in fear of expressing their opinions as long as they do not harm others by it. Eventually respect for differing viewpoints and other human beings comes into the mix.

You can boycott politics, religion and any other types of questions. Just pass those questions by. If you don't look you won't see the arguing.

I stop in once in awhile to see opinions, but I have learned the hard way that no matter how much you try you can't change the way are person thinks about those two topics.

I just asked tonight a couple of people if they were going to watch the political debate tomorrow night for congressional district 2 in Nevada. Their answers were unprintable.

I think the discussion or religion and politics is an important thing, I learn things and I hope others do also...however, the verbal attacks, calling people stupid, racist, and just generally insulting the ideas and intelligence of others that don't agree with you.....that does need to stop.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
