Well, Ive been on askville for about 3 days now, and I barely have anything to ask... everyone is so nice ~read details~ so far a lot of people have told me im mature for my age, well I guess its because I had to be to survive this crazy world I was placed in...im also very imature....i still don't understand the concept of god..i mean he gave me these weird abilities but hasnt given me a chance to use them or even the guts to tell my mom or any one but my brothers and people ive only talked to on askville. Ive lost faith. How do I regain it?

I'll just address the God question here. God loves you. Know that first.

Second is that God is eternal, and so created beings also eternal to be in a relationship with eternally. There are beings who can do anything and we call them "angels. " There are beings who can do nothing and we call them "humans."

God wants a relationship with you, forever. Then folks get stuck on the silly, "Why do bad things happen to good people? " The answer is that they aren't "bad" things AND there are no "good people."

All humans have disobeyed God and done what they wanted, with the result that others humans are hurt. You, dear are one of those who have been hurt. God offers forgiveness for your disobedience towards m (thru Jesus Christ) and healing of your emotional pain caused by others.

God also (in s sovereignty) has healed people physically. The reason why God seems confusing (to you and everyone else) is that He wants that relationship. No one thinks "God" and "relationship" unless they know m already in a relationship.So you get all these people who don't know God talking about m (even here at Askville).

This makes the entire subject very confusing. The real sticking point with God is the requirement to repent. Humans never like admitting they're wrong.

On this, all I can say is that God, being God, cannot change (yes, there are things God cannot do). Since God cannot change, to have a relationship with you must be the one willing to change.At the other end of it all, however, is the comfort that God cannot change, and so cannot change s mind or go back on a promise He has made to you. Humans do that all the time for the mere reason that they can.

God cannot break a promise, and I like that much more than I dislike the repenting part.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
