The blogosphere is "abuzz" with the comments made yesterday by Secretary of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff (Source: Chicago Tribune) It seems the Secretary, during face-time with the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune, stated matter-of-factly that the United States was under increased risk of terrorist attack this summer — based on a "gut feeling" he had and past summer attack trends of Al-Qaeda. The White House was quick to denounce Chertoff's gut.
Maybe it was coincidence, or one of those ironic things again (see previous post) that happens in life, but funny that Chertoff should make such a statement when he was in town to address the national conference of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
