Otzi was first discovered by two German Tourists, Helmut and Erika Simon. They immediately reported the body to the local Authorities. The police fearing it to be a recent homocide victim attempted to release the body with a pic axe and power chisel but failed.
Only to release a copper axe. Stating the body as suspicous the authorities contacted a local Archaeologist( who even after being told the body was under suspicous circumstances) "forgot" too bring any excavation tools. What occured next was a desperate excavation using pic axes.
Chisels and hammers. During the process Otzi suffered a broken hip-bone and a badly damaged right leg. It was alaso thought he suffered numerous other cuts and bone breakages but these were later diagnosed as injuries before Otzies death.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
