According to me though I reach below 20 I still believe in Santa. If there is god, there is Santa but the necessity to believe in him is only faith in him.
I am 66 years old and still believe in Santa Claus. Santa Claus is the little child in all of us.
I would have been about 8 or 9, I caught mum and dad in the act :).

Until now I still believe in Santa Claus, even if I haven't received anything from thim.
We never actually "believed" there is an old guy who would give us presents. So I would say I never believed in this mysterious person. We however always knew, someone we knew was in that costume.
The moment I realised how impossible it was to go around every single homes and eat our cookies as well. Age 8.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
