What are baby booties?

Baby booties are baby socks. Many times they are homemade. You can however, purchase baby booties in the store as well.

They are an item that is almost an essential for a baby. Why is that? That is because babies must be kept warm.

Most of our body heat is through our feet. This means that if our feet are warm, the rest of us will be warm too. If you would like to make your own baby booties, you can find knitting patterns for them at any sewing, fabric or hobby store.

Most of the time, baby booties will have come in the same size. This is because usually all babies where about the same shoe size. Knitted baby booties are amont the most common types.

You can however,crochet baby booties as well. If you decide to make your own, you can make them specified for a girl or boy, or you can even make them gender neutral. An idea for a baby shower invitation is making them resemble a baby bootie!
