There's quite a few really good semi-popular or obscure NES games. Little Nemo: The Dream Master is my #1 suggestion. It really showed what the NES was capable of.
Bright vivid colors, good music, awesome gameplay and was made by the quality publisher Capcom. It was rated very high but few people really know about it. It's VERY fun.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
