I'm not that familiar with Islam to discuss it in detail, sorry, but I can offer a few opinions. A I have heard (on radio interviews) some Islamists say theirs is the better religion and all the rest are second best. Well, to date I believe every religions says the same thing!

If I walk into your home and say my house is better than yours, I'm sure you will not appreciate the words, true? So I feel a certain amount of sensitivity is missing when an Islamist speaks that way, from superiority that only they feel. Please remember that God is the Father of us all, and we are all No need to feel superior before God's eyes.

B I do wish the women folk would be given more consideration. It is pathetic how women are forced into marriage and that there can be more than one wife. It is degrading to womanhood, in my opinion.

What are their rights as human beings? I'm not particularly interested in studying the differences in the thousands of religions that occupy our world. Life is too short for that.

Rather I prefer to respect the presence of God within every human being and treat everyone fairly. My two cents.

This is a complicated subject, especially if you make the comparison with christianity and Judaism. It's welll documented that Islam began as a violent religion with armies conquering the Middle East in the 8th century, and there is a perception that it is still violent. However, the terrorists distort Islam; they're more like a splinter group that is mixing politics with their distorted ideas.

Some would say that christianity was born of violence too, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ; however, his message was one of love and peace until the Crusades, when christian armies were at war with Islam to take back Jerusalem which they had conquered. I think the problem between the two is more a cultural one...western vs. eastern thought about separation of church and state, equality between the sexes and an eye for an eye which goes back to biblical days. Certainly Sharia law and honor killing has no place in our society.

I think we should learn about other religious beliefs because it causes so much hatred--more out of ignorance than any other thing. Most Moslems are good, God fearing people who want to live in peace. The more you know about people, the less frightening and strange they appear.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
