Mobile, Alabama started a new tradition last New Year's and continued with it this year. They built a large Moon pie to be lowered at midnight over Mobile Bay. Last year when this tradition began, they also created the worlds largest edible moonpie weighing in at 55 pounds.
They chose a moon pie since these tasty treats are a big part Mardi Gras in this town which will be starting soon! Mardi Gras has been a fixture in this town since 1703, longer than New Orleans. I didn't go down to see the moon pie in person this year, but was able to see it on the tube.
Happy New Year @brian_san and everyone here at Mahalo. (the video shows last year... or the first moon pie drop).
In New York I love to see the Yule Log Burning every christnas season.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
