I don't see pros and cons of either. I believe in freedom of religion and the right to believe in what you want to believe. As long as you don't push your beliefs onto others.

Why not atheism vs Why specifically Christianity. Most atheists don't believe in Krishna ya know.

Christianity is the worlds biggest religion and Christians are more vocal about their religion than any other group. That is why I chose Christians. Wheelie_McDuff 3 months ago .

I'm not really an atheist so I guess I'll bow out; I was just curious.

Think on this...Christians believe that there is an afterlife. That we can live on with God and our family and friends in a beautiful place free from any hate, disease. There is a point to our life as a Christian.

We seek God and want to be with m through all eternity with our family and friends. Atheists believe we just cease to exist. There is no point to your life.

Which seams more appealing to you? .

Atheism. It is the logical conclusion. Wheelie_McDuff 3 months ago .

Turbo,Most Christians believe that people who belong to other Christian denominations are Christians. Most believe that the denomination they belong to is the best, but they don't think that members of other denominations aren't Christian. I don't know where you got that idea.

Some people prefer their coffee straight, all black. Some people prefer their coffee with sweetness and light (cream). Whatever works for you.

Gee, I really don't care. I don't care what anyone believes, as long as they don't try to convince me that they are somehow superior and I am evil. That's the point where I pull out all of my questions about religion not one of these people can answer.

They really get upset when that happens. I suppose that could be called an advantage. It's never a problem to put them right back on the level they should be on, and they cannot bring me down.

You simply cannot state pros and cons of faith. There are none.

Christianity is the worlds biggest religionOk, you got my interest! So I looked. Christianity is the most practiced religion in the world, but Christianity has a lot of factions included in those numbers - a lot of which "true" Christians will say are not actual Christian.33 percent of the people in the world claim to be Christian.

They are Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant, Penetecostal, Anglican,Monophysite, AIC, Latter Day Saints, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Quakers, Jehoviah Witness, AOG, and Evangelical. Now, while each considers themselves to be Christian, there are some of these groups that consider other groups to not to be Christians. So, if you want the actual "biggest religion" where every member considers every other member to be an actual practitioner of that religion - then the biggest religion in the world is Islam.21 percent of the people in the world practice Islam.

And, to round it out - 14 percent are 6 percent are Buddhist, 6 percent practice a traditional African religion, 6 percent practice a traditional Chinese religion, .22 percent are Jewish, and .36 percent are Sikhs, leaving 16 percent stating they are no religion, at all. http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Adherents.html html.

You are right but they are all derived from a belief in Jesus and they are the most vocal of all the religions. Before 9/11 2001 I never heard a thing about Islam. I also never hear a thing about Jews except WWII and the typical stereotypes that they make good lawyers and run Hollywood. My point is, most people in western society know more about Christianity than they do about other religions.

Well, actually, most of the Christian beliefs and holdays have their roots in pagan religions. Not a lot of orginiality in Christianity. And, the fact that you never heard about Islam before 9/11, and have only heard fallacies and horrible things about Judaism only speaks how to how narrow your world view was.

> My point is, most people in western society know more about Christianity than they do about other religions. Sadly, most of what people in western society know/believe about Christianity and its beginnings is not true.
