What are some tips for marrying into a family with differing religious beliefs?

The first, best advice is to not put yourself in that situation to begin with. If religion and sharing religious beliefs isn't that important to begin with then why resist your partners religion at all? If they are as sincere about their beliefs as you are, why not share your partners experiences?

You married them because you love them, everything about them right? If not, why exactly did you get together in the first place? But if you've already chosen to marry into a relationship where your spiritual paths never cross, it is important to choose your battles wisely.

Our responsibility is to God first then our partner. If you don't have any solid reasons for not going with them they'll never understand. You need to know what the Bible says and where you stand.

If the reason you don't want to go is because their religion freaks you out, say so. Learn more about it and understand your position better so you can put it into words. If you just don't know, again, learn more first.

But if (for example) you just can't go to their church because your own faith is so weak that you can't handle challenges to your faith yet, say so. If they love you they'll understand. Or if they love you they'll insist that you learn the truth with them instead.

I guess that could go both ways. Communication in a relationship is essential. At the very least you could work on your communication skills by taking classes or getting counseling together.

Work on that, pray about it and when in doubt, follow the Bible (if you don't use the Bible as the source for your faith, then I have no clue how to advise you except be stubborn about it).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
