What are the benefits of owning a German Shepherd?

German Shepherds are a wonderful breed of dog. They’re known to be very loyal, and great protectors of their families. They’re also quite strong and alert.

The combination of all of these features makes them wonderful watchdogs. They make equally fantastic family pets, however, and are generally great with children. When deciding which dog breed is best for you, there are a few things to consider: first, and most importantly, how much time do you have to devote to your dog?

Some dog breeds are laid back and okay with minimal attention, but others are very needy and need constant playing and walking to calm down their hyper personalities. Keep in mind the size of the breed as well… getting a Great Dane may not be a great idea if you live in a small apartment.
