Its dock-connector port and audio output mean you have to charge the iPad. The Keyboard Dock feels great to type on. Its weight (21.4 ounces) and a non-skid pad on the bottom make it nice, stable and it holds the iPad at a great angle for comfortable viewing.
Additionally, you can insert special characters using the Option key. But you can’t use arrow keys and Return or Space to open apps, and you can’t tab between buttons and controls, as you can on a Mac. Cost for one of the iPad Keyboard Dock or Apple's Wireless Keyboard is $69.An inexpensive dock alternative is a cheap book or document stand.
The iPad Keyboard Dock and iPad Dock hold the iPad only in portrait mode. An external keyboard will serve mainly as a "docking station". An iPad and an external keyboard together weigh less than most laptops, so for some people, the combination may be a desirable alternative to a laptop.
While there are some tiny Bluetooth keyboards out there, Apple's Wireless Keyboard is the smallest that still provides full-size keys and a Mac layout, making it an ideal partner for the iPad. One of the Keyboard Dock's biggest advantages over a Bluetooth keyboard and a separate dock is stability. Apple's iPad Dock is more stable.
. COMPARISON 1. Cost: Winner: Keyboard Dock, unless you already own the Wireless Keyboard 2.
Ergonomics and angle: Winner: Bluetooth keyboard 3. Special keys: Winner: Keyboard Dock, but barely 4. Flexibility: Winner: Bluetooth keyboard 5.
Stability: Winner: Keyboard Dock 6. Portability: Winner: Bluetooth keyboard -quote- Decisions, decisions For those who plan to do most of their external-keyboard typing in a single location, and whose documents tend to use portrait orientation, Apple's Keyboard Dock is great for bringing the iPad home and plopping it in to type, sync, and charge. The Keyboard Dock is also surprisingly stable and offers a number of unique special-function keys.
But for everyone else, I think Apple's Wireless Keyboard is the better way to go: It's better for travel, it can be used in a wider range of situations, and it offers most of the Keyboard Dock's special features. (Of course, If you've already got Apple's Wireless Keyboard--or another Bluetooth keyboard--give it a try with the iPad; if you're happy with it, you just need a dock or a stand.) -/quote- http://www.macworld.com/reviews/product/463547/review/ipad_keyboard_dock.html http://www.networkworld.com/news/2010/041410-ipad-keyboard-dock-or-bluetooth.html?page=2 www.pcworld.com/.../the_ipads_five_best_surprises.html www.networkworld.com/.../041410-ipad-keyboard-dock-or-bluetooth.html - http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/188013/the_ipads_five_best_surprises.html http://tablet-news.com/2010/01/27/apple-ipad-tablet-now-official-complete-with-external-keyboard.
I use the Apple Wireless Keyboard - it is compact enough for easy transport, but big enough to offer a reasonable typing experience - it syncs amazingly well and quickly with the iPad. I had a folding keyboard for my Palm Smartphone, but it was much better in theory than practice. A keyboard cover is nice for the AWK, and I got a great one from sfbags.com.
Enjoy the iPad!

As far as I am concerned, the best portable keyboards are no longer made. A company called Thinkoutside OEM'ed folding keyboards for Palms. Later they came out with bluetooth keyboards.
Surprisingly you can still find some on Amazon. Yes, I said Amazon, not eBay. Note Thinkoutside has NOT made these keyboards for YEARS.
Keep this in mind if you order one on Amazon - what you are buying is old stock and probably open-box. Not to muddy the waters - but if you do search for Thinkoutside, know that they now call them selves something like "iGo" and (begrudgingly? ) admit that once they did make keyboards.
Personally, I did not think paying way over $100 for one of these old-stock Thinkoutside keyboards was worth it. I opted for one of the more common and currently being made $60 keyboards (MP-0118) I found on Amazon for my iPod Touch. So far it works fine.
I would think it will work the same with an iPad.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
