What are the best headphones to buy in my price range?

I'm looking for either earphones or headphones, but not ear buds. My price range is $20-$40 and they need to be comfortable for my wife because she is quite sensitive. Thank you.

Sennheiser PX200 I have a pair of Sennheiser PX200s that I use to listen to MP3s when I am working. They are small, light, and comfortable enough to wear all day (which I do). They work quite well with my little Creative MuVo MP3 player, and with my laptop computer.

They have very impressive sound quality for a mini-headphone. Sennheiser has always been known for sizzling highs and highly detailed midrange. The PX200s deliver as much bass as you could expect from phones this size, and they’re free of IM distortion.

Like your wife, I can’t stand earbuds, or even in-the-ear headphones. I was looking for a similar solution, and these were it. Amazon currently lists them at $51.24, but you can probably find them cheaper.

I think they’re good enough to spend a little more than the range you mentioned, but if you’re adamant about the budget, the PX100, one step below it, is very highly rated and is listed at Amazon for $33.99. It’s an open-element phone, so it won’t give you as much bass, but you still get Sennheiser quality. Philips Headphones are good, considering the price and specs you have provided. Since you're wife does not want ear buds, to which I am preferable, behind-the-neck headphones are your best bet. They are versatile and can be used for everything from running to relaxing.

Most run between $15 to 40. In my personal experiences, Philips is the best brand to go with, but sony can also be an option. The sound quality is optimal for the price range and they are very comfortable.

The only problems I've ever had is long use (5-7 hours) sometimes irritates the back of the ear, where they, I don't really know how to expalin this, clip on... or sit... any way, here are some URLs for you to look at some. bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=78604... ^These are your typical behind-the-neck headphones. $13^ bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=67945... ^Another typical pair.

I hope this helps.

Try Sennheiser I recently bought a Sennheiser HD 202 headphones. It is priced around $25 and has excellent sound quality. It also has noise cancellation.

If you are wearing glasses, make sure they though don't alter the angle / position of glasses which might cause inconvenience to your eyes. Ramy's Recommendations Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones Amazon List Price: $29.95 Used from: $9.99 Average Customer Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (based on 358 reviews) .

Take a look at these. Headphones are really a personal preference, but I have a set of these and they are super comfortable, very inexpensive and have great sound quality. This site sells hundreds of headphones, so take a look you might find something you like even better.
