What are the best places to visit in India during the monsoons?

Uttarakhand is a beatific place located near the Himalayan mountain ranges. It is the land of many pilgrimage centers and Hindu temples also known as 'Land of Gods'. You can visit the place anytime in the year.

However, monsoon might not be the best time because of the heavy landslides which are being reported every now and then. Winters are pretty cold so if you are okay with the lower temperature (near freezing temprature) then you may visit in winter. Do not forget to carry all your winter clothes then The best time to visit for a normal traveler would be summer.

Since, the environment is pleasant. The days would be warm and nights cold. In case you decide to visit in summer carry some water to stay hydrated during the days.
