What are the latest trends in hair highlighting?
There are a couple trends for hair highlighting. The latest trend is highlighting further down the hair shaft and not at the roots. This may seem a bid odd but it looks cute and many people are asking for this new style.
Another highlighting trend is going very dark, almost black and highlighting with the lightest blond. In the past, we will normally go just 2 or three shades lighter on the highlighting. The look was more subtle.
The new trend is way more dramatic. Lastly, people are experimenting more with not so natural hair colors. You will see highlights in pink or even blue.
Pretty much any color of the rainbow. Women are braver when it comes to hair and highlights. Today they are willing to think out of the box and make a statement.
I think the latest trends right now are shorter hair that is whispy and full and the color red is also in. The theme seems to be bright on the hair color and unique. Women are willing to try new styles they may have been afraid to try in the past.
How a trend is started, well...... sometimes it just takes one person to sport a new look. Others love that hairstyle and copy it. It is then like a snowball effect.
Others see all their hair and follow and so on. I am not sure you can plan to set a trend. Try something unique with your hair and just hope other enjoy that hairstyle and copy it.
That is about all you can do. Since you are a stylist I am sure your hair is edgy to begin with. When your clients admire your hair, ask if they want to try that style.
The problem is then you are not unique with others following. I think it can be best to just pick edgy cuts for yourself. Everyones hair is different.
What may look good on one person may not be the best style for someone else.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
