The most obvious difference is versatility. While the GT2 will offer Fender-, Marshall- and Boogie-style amp emulations, the Classic will do all those, as well as Ampeg-, Hiwatt- and Vox-type. Some folks love the "fiddle factor" of the Classic while others hate it.
The GT2, on the other hand, is up and running with a minimum of tweaking. The Classic will also give you more subtle nuances in the "clean-to-just-on-the-verge-of-breakup" range. Another major difference is that the Classic has no EQ of its own, since it was primarily intended to plug right into a mixing console, which would have its own EQ.
If you use it as a stompbox in front of an amp, you will be dependent on the amp's tone controls to shape the final sound. The GT2 has active EQ on-board, so you can radically switch between your amp's own tone (when the GT2 is in bypass), or the emulated tone (when the pedal is engaged). Budgetary concerns might also factor into your decision since the SansAmp Classic has a MSRP of $ ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
