Independence Hall is famous because it is where the Declaration of Independence was signed on the fourth of July in 1776.

Another one of Philadelphia’s most famous attractions is the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which has one of the largest collections of art in the United States, but is perhaps best known for its famous steps where a scene in the Sylvester Stallone film Rocky took place. Some other noteworthy Philadelphia tourist attractions include the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts Museum, the Eastern State Penitentiary, the Rodin Museum, the Philadelphia Zoo, Fort Mifflin, the Franklin Institute Science Museum, and the University of Pennsylvania.
