What are the names of department stores plus size teen girls can shop at for prom dresses?

It is kind of hard sometimes to find good plus size clothes, especially when looking for something fancier like a prom dress. JC-Penney does carry plus size clothing, and would have plus size prom dresses. Another great place to look would be Deb.

Both stores carry plus size dresses up to pretty big sizes. It also can be a hassle to find good styles for someone who is plus size, and again harder when it's fancier clothing. A plus size girl would want to wear a floor length or shin length dress, to hide any problem areas in the legs.

Also, a dress with an A-line skirt helps hide the width of the hips and thighs. Tube top dresses are popular, but most of the time not good for plus size girls. Instead a plus size girl would want a cap sleeved dress or a flutter sleeved dress; this will hide any problems spots in the upper arms.

If she has a problem with her lower arms I’d suggest getting a shawl of some type to go over the dress.
