The Northeast Corridor, mostly owned and operated by Amtrak, is the the most popular passenger rail line in the United States. It consists of the Acela Express, Northeast Regional, and Keystone Service routes. In 2009, these three routes respectively had 3,019,627, 6,920,610, and 1,215,785 passengers.
The two other routes with more than 1 million passengers in 2009 were the Pacific Surfliner (2,592,996 passengers) and the Capitol Corridor (1,599,625 passengers).
