What are the products of a reaction between an alkali metal and water? An alkaline earth metal and water?

Both will produce a basic solution ex Na + H2O--> NaOH = H2 All the alkaline metals will produce a strong base. The alkaline earth metals will produce some strong bases and some weak bases.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
