What Are The Risks Of A Baby Being Overdue?

One that I know of for sure is that at some point the placenta, the organ supplying nutrients and oxygen to the baby, stops working. You can say it sort of has a mind of its own. When it thinks it is done, it will "shut off" and start calcifying, or harden, and in turn stop supplying needs to the baby.

Of course it would make sense that this happens at the end of pregnancy, and if the baby is still inside past the due date and the placenta shuts off, it can be extremely dangerous not to get the baby out as soon as possible.

Actually, the biggest risk is that the mother's antibodies stop recognizing the baby as a baby, and start seeing it as a foreign invader...meaning they attack the baby, and can eventually kill the baby if it's not delivered. Overly late babies lose the protective coating on their skin so their skin is often peeling, but in serious cases the skin could actually be coming off due to the reaction of the mother's body. They will have more waste within the uterus as they get more developed, but it is generally not considered the primary risk to the baby.

The risk of being poisoned both baby and the mother. If the baby is overdue there is posibilities that baby migh make popooh and wee wee ,it will scattered on the whole system of the mothers body and it will become a poison.

I think the most dangerous would be the risk of the baby having a bowel movement in utero which could result in death or serious injury for the child. Also breach birth is a risk (baby being born feet first), also risk of the umbilical cord getting wrapped around limbs or neck, and the umbilical cord becoming brittle and unable to give any more nutrients to the child.

One risk I know for sure is that since the baby is fully developed, he or she could release their bowls inside the uterus/ sac which can cause the babies first breath to be dangerous for the babies health! It can cause the baby to breath in some of the fecies and can cause a sevear viral infection in the babies lungs. Which can lead to death.

But some other thing of that are it can cause nemonia, broncitis, any number of things wrong with the babies lungs.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
