The Volvo XC60 got a safety rating from IIHS of "Good" based on the above-mentioned safety features. IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal, or poor based on performance in high sped front and side crash test plus evaluations of seat/heat restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear collisions.
I drove an XC60 for about a week and can say it really is a "safe" vehicle when it comes to features, but when it comes to driving and feeling safe, the XC60s handling and driving dynamics are not that great. The steering is loose, the ride is too spongy, and it's too complicated to do things like adjust the air-conditioning and tune to a different station. If you're thinking about opting for the navigation system, forget it.It is probably THE WORST system on the market, and definitely not worth the money.
The screen quality is poor, it's slow, and worst of all, the method of input is horrendous. Most vehicles in the midsize crossover class are as safe or safer than the Volvo XC60. The Audi Q5, Lexus RX, and Cadillac SRX are all AMAZING vehicles.
The Audi and Cadillac handle MUCH better than the Volvo or even more sedated Lexus, which can be the difference between getting in or avoiding an accident!
I did some research and found a lot of safety information on the Volvo XC60 from U.S. News and World Report. The Volvo XC60 was named a "Top Safety Pick" by the Insurance Institute for The Volvo XC60 got a score of "Good" in frontal offset, side impact and rear crash protection tests conducted by the insurance industry. It is impressive as well in roof strength tests.
A great featureis the standard electornic stability control. Great safety attributes that this vehicle possesses is Dynamic Stability and Traction Control, Roll Stability Control and dual chamber side airbags. City Safety is a great feature which automatically breaks when it senses a collision, which reduces the impact of low speed crashes.
Some other great options include the Blind Spot Information System for $700 which alerts the driver of any car enters a blind spot. A more expensive option at $1,700 is the Technology Package. This comes with a variety of features including cruise control, distance alert and collision warning.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
