I haven't really heard of side affects for Aromatherapy. But some people can be allergic to some of the oils. I have read that aromatherapy should not be used in a room with very small children.

I suppose this is because the some of the oils used can be quite overwhelming. So I would say, some of the oils may cause allergic reactions in some people.
