Fruta Planta weight loss products have been recalled, due to the fact they contain sibutramine. The FDA is advising that people should stop taking the products immediately, and throw any remaining Fruta Planta away in sealed containers. There have been several cardiac events, and even a death associated with Fruta Planta.

Sibutramine is known to increase blood pressure and heart rate, and was banned in the United States previous to Fruta Planta being released. It also has adverse interactions with many other medications, which can be life threatening. Fruta Planta failed to mark the sibutramine in their list of ingredients Some other side effects of sibutramine can include: Headache change in appetite constipation heartburn dry mouth, difficulty speaking, breathing, or swallowing weakness nervousness difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, restlessness flu-like symptoms or fever flushing painful menstrual periods fast or pounding heartbeat chest pain shortness of breath nausea, stomach pain, or vomiting swelling extreme excitement unusual bleeding or bruising anxiety depression dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, or confusion uncoordinated or abnormal movement muscle stiffness or back pain shaking and shivering seizures excessive sweating sore throat large pupils (black area in center of eyes) change in vision eye pain hives, rash, or itching In short, if you have this supplement, quit taking it right away.

Seal it in a container that children and animals cannot get into. Throw it away. If you are having complications, contact your doctor or be taken to your nearest medical center.
