Almost everyone says it started on Black Tuesday, October 29 1929. However, the end date of the great depression is very debatable, as is clear by all the dates given above. I would say that the great depression ended around September 1939, when the government really started expanding national defense.

Unlike this war, that created an economic boom by creating jobs and stimulating industrial growth. It definitely did not end as late as 1941. In fact by that time the economy was totally mobilized for supporting the war effort, and there were so many jobs that there was even a shortage of workers!

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
