Name them all! I saw the first program in the new ABC "Masters of Science Fiction" last Saturday at 10p--it completely blew my mind. I thought it was one of the best programs I had ever seen.

Perry mason! The old ones, the black and white versions. They were the best!
Now, I love criminal minds and the closer, although I do watch survivor (starting to wear a little thin) and the amazing race. I like alot of design shows, like divine design, designed to sell and design challenge. I like some shows on the history channel too, but the material has to be interesting..
Some of my favorite shows were cancelled too soon. Dark Angel Wonderfalls Foyle's War Star Trek TNG Lost Veronica Mars Nature Nova The Simpsons The X-files Dark Angel was the only thing that Jessica Alba was ever great in. Everything else, she was either okay or horrible.
She's always gorgeous, of course, but in Dark Angel she seemed to be actually acting and the character Max was perfect for her. In everything else, she has just been Jessica Alba, superstar. None of her other characters have been likable or believable.
I liked the premise of Dark Angel, and the rest of the cast. Fox cancelled it too soon. Another show that Fox cancelled too soon was Wonderfalls, after airing only 3 episodes.
Veronica Mars got the ax after 3 seasons. Foyle's War is a great show, and I like the sets and props nearly as much as I like the characters and the stories. Lost does a good job of hooking me.
Whether it ranks up there at the top of my list will depend on how they eventually explain everything. I've put up with the Black Smoke for a long time, trusting that they are going to give us a great, satisfying explanation. If they give us some hokey reason for the Black Smoke, like everyone just imagined it, I'm going to throw my TV out the window.
The X-files was great, but they didn't cancel it soon enough. The third season was the best. Well, we chucked our TV about ten years ago, but before that our favorite was... Remember WENN - a 90's masterpiece created by Rupert Holmes with a loyal cult following to this day. The Emmy Award-winning AMC show (circa 1996) was created by the brilliant Rupert Holmes. It centered on the goings-on in a Pittsburgh radio station, circa 1940.
The cast was stellar, and the characters ranged from the egocentric diva, to Gertie, the put-upon receptionist, to Mackie, the short, bald man whose radio voices could make him sound like a Casanova - and so many more. The show was at times hilarious, at times heart-tugging. Either way, each script was as sharp as a tack.
Here are some examples: Betty: "Oh, I’m sorry, Miss Booth, I was buried in thought. " and I’m sure it was a shallow grave. " (The elderly) Mr. Eldridge: "I tell you, this job is going to drive me to an early grave."
Victor: "Um, I don’t think that’s mathematically possible. " Mackie: "Betty, where’s the smoking jacket? I can’t do ’Letters to the Vagabond’ without the smoking jacket."
Mr. Eldridge: "I just finished pressing it. Shall I go get it? " Betty: "Mackie, the audience can’t see you.
You don’t need it. " Mackie: "Okay, I use the smoking jacket as a crutch. " Mr. Eldridge {walks away, fretting}: "I should have used more starch." lary {bustles in with hands full}: "Gertie!
Gertie, Gertie, I’ve got one or two teeny weeny little favors I want you to take care of. " Gertie: "What?" I want you to answer this fan mail, then autograph and send out these autographed photos.
Hmmm... There was a third thing, but I can’t remember..." Gertie {annoyed}: " it’s time you stopped treating me like the dirt under your fingernails! " That’s it! I need you to make a manicure appointment for me.
" Sadly, Remember WENN was yanked off the air in its fourth season - and left its loyal fans with an unresolved cliffhanger. They commiserate to this day - and enjoy the memories - on the WENNList: http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/wennlist/ Also, there are several excellent websites about this TV gem.My favorite is: Just wondering: Are any of you familiar with the show? I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
