This is a president whom has instructed congress to find any reason to kill this law he feels that he knows best and realizes that most of the country will fail to do their home work and actually look into what AZ is trying to do. He is like every other politician he chooses to represent issues the way he sees them instead of for what they truly are.
No, since he didn't. You say "They can only ask people about their legal status when they have already broken a law." Nope.
The law says (pardon the caps, I'm pasting it from the document): A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, WITHOUT A WARRANT, MAY ARREST A PERSON IF THE OFFICER HAS PROBABLE CAUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THE PERSON HAS COMMITTED ANY PUBLIC OFFENSE THAT MAKES THE PERSON REMOVABLE FROM THE UNITED STATES. No mention of actually having broken a law, just a suspicion that they might have; and being here illegally is considered a "public offense." Perhaps you are referring to the section talking about "lawful contact" with an officer.
That does not mean only a traffic stop; it can mean just talking on the street.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
