What can you teach with a social studies major?

With a social studies major, you can teach any subject that falls under that broad topic. But you must also be certified to teach social studies, and this requires several other classes that are not specifically social studies related. Many teachers major in education not merely social studies.

They major in education and minor in the subject they want to teach, such as mathematics or English. Once a prospective teacher gets the needed certification classes along with the social studies courses, she/he could teach several classes at the middle or high school level. In middle school, students typically take one year of history of their state and maybe even a geography class. In high school, students take one year of world history, one year of American history, one-half year of government and one-half year of economics.

These are typically required classes and there are also some elective classes, such as sociology or psychology, world religions or European history.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
