I haven't attended college yet. Thank you! Please no responses hashing on online schools.
I'm not asking if you like them or not. The only question I asked is "What colleges online offer a bachelors in nursing without having to be a RN?" Thank you.

Google revealed this site which identifies the University of Phoenix as having such a program. I am posting this answer with a certain amount of trepidation, because......Nurses have extremely high levels of customer contact and IMHO learning this profession is optimally accomplished in a classroom and clinical setting setting along side others who share the same passion to care for others. Whatever program you choose make sure it includes an appropriate amount of learning held in real bricks and mortar classrooms and clinical settings.
Good luck! Peace, BosM org/schools/phoenix.
Thanks for the link, but I believe they also require you to be a RN as well. Newbie763665 15 months ago .
I think it would be difficult being an admiinistrator in the nursing field without any nursing education. Guess pharm companies and such might be looking.

You are aware that many of these on-line courses are shams; i. E, medical coders, vet techs, pharmacy techs. They give you some kind of worthless certificate.
Maybe you could take a few courses online from an accredited, like a math course, sociology, psych to get started. I went back to school at age 40 to become an RN and it was a lot of hard work, but so worth it. You could take some courses through your local community college, but as for nursing, would most likely need to be accepted into a program.
Your goal is a good one but you must do a lot more research. Oh, I just read the part where you wanted to bypass the "RN" thing. That is ridiculous.
I don't want to bypass being a RN. I need a BSN degree so I can be a RN and then work on my Masters. I asked about a degree not requiring you to be a RN because a lot of the BSN degrees are RN-BSN.
I do not live near a college that offers BSN degrees. Newbie763665 15 months ago .
NO! You can get an associates degree (2-3 years at comm. College) to become an rn.
You need to be an rn before you can get your BSN. There are some colleges that will take people with other degrees and allow them to get MSN . May I ask if you have any college prep yet?
And you to go WAY beyond BSN to be an RNP .
Maybe I've got it now. You want to get right into the BSN program without getting your rn first. Takes longer, but I think I understand now.
All RN courses would build into a BSN - same courses to start off with.
A nurse - just like a doctor - is required to spend a certain amount of time in residency. That requires meeting with, and working with, actual living beings. You're not going to be able to do that without actually going into a regular nursing program - I'd have serious doubts about whether I'd want a nurse who graduated from an on-line university doing anything to or for me short of changing a bedpan.
Having said all that - what's wrong with being an RN? .
Since you seem to be jumping to conclusions a lot without actually asking questions I will let you in on something... there is absolutely nothing wrong with being 'a' RN. Also, when you go through degree programs for nursing online you must have training inside of a hospital/clinic as well. Ask questions or get your facts first.
Its rude to flame otherwise. Have a nice day. Newbie763665 15 months ago .
You stated you didn't want to be an RN and I quote you exactly: "without having to be an RN. " A reasonable person would assume you don't want to be one. If I'm ever sick enough to be in the hospital, I hope I'd never have you or anyone like you as a nurse.
On-line degrees, for the most part, are totally worthless. Now, go crawl back under the rock you came out from under and grow up.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
