What disabilities are considered severe disabilities?

Under the US Social Security Administration, a disability shall be considered severe if interferes with basic work-related activities. There are impairments that have been listed down by the SSA which are considered severe enough to prevent an individual from doing any gainful activity: for adults, some of these include musculoskeletal system disorders that may include may be due to bone or joint deformity or destruction from any cause; miscellaneous disorders of the spine with or without radiculopathy or other neurological deficits; amputation; or fractures or soft tissue injuries, heart disease, and the like.
