A German driver's license is acceptable for driving in Canada. If you will be in Ontario for less than 3 months, then your original "Führerschein" license with photo ID should be acceptable. If more than 3 months, you must obtain an International Driver's Permit from your country to be used as ID in Canada.
http://www.ontario.ca/page/drive-ontario... Because the German drivers license does not have any English words on it that explain what the different fields are for on the card, you may need to obtain a translation of your German license into English, or a document from the license bureau in Germany that explains (in English) what the fields mean. If the license bureau in Germany does not provide this, you can find out if the local Canadian embassy in Berlin can advise if this is necessary and where to get this done. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/ger... As for renting a car, I would expect that any of the car rental agencies here in Canada should rent to you, depending on your age.
Some have a restriction that they rent only to people over 21 years old. Some may require you to over 25 years old. Just contact Hertz, National, Enterprise, Alamo, Budget, or whatever car rental agency that best meets your needs.
The three requirements fro driving in Canada: Driver's license, Vehicle Registration, Proof of Insurance.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
