I really like this show, for a lot of reasons: -Really good, complex, layered character relationships (among both human and machine(!) characters). You never forget the psychological price of all their fighting. -Great action sequences - exciting and suspenseful.
-The development of artificial intelligence plot. I like that the show makes you think about the ways chess-playing machines and traffic monitering systems might someday become something different (not a technophobe, I just think it's interesting to think about the future of technology). Also, Cameron's character could be fascinating.
-Derek and Sarah are very cool characters, too. -Everyone's a really good actor. Even that 90210 dude.
Seriously, he's really good. -The show has a really good sense of humor when it wants to. The show would be better if: ---John didn't revert back to the "I wannabe normal" persona every time the plot requires him to do something stupid.
---Really interesting characters didn't get killed off/disappeared quite so frequently or so fast (archives guy, psychologist). ---There were fewer storylines that involve one character going off on his/her own, more that develop the family relationships or other important connections.
We've been enjoying Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles here at chez Hartwell. It grew on me over the first few weeks. I like that the audience is left to ask questions at the end of one episode... and those questions might be answered 4 shows later.( you could learn something from these guys!) I like the way that the other human fighters from the future were introduced.
I liked seeing the development (in the future) of Cameron. I wish they'd lay off the Wizard of Oz references, but i'll get over that!
The show was a good idea, however it turned into a soap opera :-(.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
