No. Republican control set our economy up for its worst crash since the Great Depression. Democratic control took an economy that was shedding 800,000 jobs per month and got it adding 200,000 jobs per month in just 2 years.
Since we've let Republicans take control of the house, though, economic recovery has stagnated. Republicans are too self-centered to foster a stable economy where all Americans can prosper. From 2001 to 2006, they supported economic deregulation and destabilization in order to help their campaign donors profit as much as possible from turning mortgage lending into a giant Ponzi scheme.
From 2011 to today, they've fostered economic uncertainty with obstruction and brinksmanship and kept unemployment high by blocking stimulus spending and laying off hundreds of thousands of public sector employees, all just to blame Obama for the bad economy. They've refused to pass a single economic policy proposal from Obama for 19 months now; how can Obama be responsible for the current state of the economy when Republicans don't let him?
The US economy doesn't turn on a dime. The collapse had to be caused by things that happened years earlier. Which was when the Republicans had undisputed control of the entire government.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
