What do you see as the difference between arts and crafts?

1 I see art, and artistic expression as devoid of guidance or rules. I see it as an outpouring of personal interpretation, perception, and feeling. I see craft as a technique in which art may inhabit.

I think that's why the term 'arts and crafts'. The craft gives the medium through which the art may flourish. For example, Scrapbooking is a craft.

But it is one's artistic expression that fills it and makes it unique. Otherwise, all scrapbooks would look the same. Dance, writing, painting, sculpting, are all crafts as one must learn the 'techniques' of each.

Craft is another word for technique, which is a common denominator. It is universal. However, it is what the individual fills the technique with that makes the craft an art.

The ship is built via craft. The art is what the ship carries and that is always unique. The art is the soul of any craft, it's completion.

2 Arts are creative, crafts are recreative.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
